100 Year Old WW1 UXO Kills 2 in Belgium
January 19th, 2014A 100 year old unexploded ordnance fired during the First World War killed two construction workers and injured two more when it exploded yesterday.
The bomb had laid dormant for a century at an industrial site in the former area of Flanders battlegrounds near Ypres.
War remains become more and more of an issue on jobsites. It is for this reason that Gouda-Geo's pushable triaxial magnetometer is such a great success. It is being used on many construction sites in Europe where the presence of UXO's is suspected. This includes the Diabolo project of the Belgium railways (TUC Rail).
