CPT Testing at an Angle

Gouda-Geo recently supplied a 200 kN CPT penetrometer pusher to BAM-De Ruiter in Halfweg, The Netherlands. The unit was equipped with CW-couplings and non-spill hydraulic couplings for quick and easy attaching to a hydraulic excavator. The pusher is powered by the excavator’s hydraulic system.

During its first project it was deployed for the geotechnical soil investigation underneath a railroad track in full use. It is for this reason that all Cone Penetration Tests were carried out at an angle. BAM-De Ruiter has confirmed to be very pleased with the overall performance of the 200 kN CPT penetrometer pusher. A valuable contribution to their machine park.
