CPT Testing on Coastal Defence Wall
May 26th, 2014This picture was sent in last week by one of our clients: Bouw- en Managementservice Nederland (BMNED). They operate i.a. a 200 kN multi-purpose CPT penetrometer platform.
In this specific case they were asked to investigate the integrity of a coastal defence wall. A Caterpillar 330D excavator with extra-long boom was used to provide the necessary reaction force and reach. A pretty picture on a misty day.
