In Memoriam! Maartje van Duijvenbode
March 31st, 2020Today the flag hangs at half-mast at Gouda-Geo. It really is a sad day. Yesterday our workshop manager Kees lost his dear wife Maartje after a 10 month battle. Maartje and Kees have been on a rollercoaster ride since May last year and have been bounced constantly between hope and despair. At Gouda-Geo we are a small team and we are really close. We have supported Maartje and Kees as much as we could and have shared their emotions. Also in these days of farewell.
We wish Kees, their daughters, their grandchildren and their sons in law all the strength to deal with this tremendous loss. Maartje was part of the Gouda-Geo family and she will live on in her children, grandchildren and in our thoughts.
Lieve Maartje. Het afscheid is daar, maar wat heb jij gevochten. Je hebt met steun van je man, lieve kinderen en kleinkinders het uiterste gegeven. Het heeft niet zo mogen zijn. Je laat een mooie club achter, iets waar jij en Kees jullie altijd voor hebben ingezet en waar jullie terecht trots op waren. Je bent nu in het huis des Heere.
