Installation for Unloading Containers
November 6th, 2008
By order of Bertschi Logistics and in close cooperation with Crane Builders and Oostingh Staalbouw, Gouda-Geo designed an installation for the unloading of containers. The containers arrive in Rotterdam harbour and contain mostly harmless half-products for the Dutch and German manufacturing industry. The half-products are to be unloaded in to road tankers for further distribution.
Gouda-Geo designed and partly manufactured this highly efficient unloading installation. The unit is suitable for containers up to 45 ft and allows for a maximum tip angle 45 degrees. It is fitted with a wind speed sensor and 2 four-stage hydraulic cylinders with a total stroke of 5 meter.
