Keadby Wind Farm, North Lincolnshire (UK)

August 16th, 2012

Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) has started the construction works for the Keadby Wind Farm in North Lincolnshire (UK) due to become England’s largest onshore wind farm.

Once completed early 2014, 34 turbines with a combined capacity between 68 MW and 85 MW will have been installed. This creates enough energy to power the equivalent of between 38,000 and 47,000 UK homes.

And . . . Gouda Geo-Equipment is present there as well. In Situ Site Investigation Ltd. from Battle (UK) is doing the geotechnical site investigation and has rented for this project a 115 kN CPT crawler from Gouda-Geo to carry out a large number of Cone Penetration Tests.
