Piezocone CPTu Testing in Namibia
July 28th, 2017Today we received this picture of a cone penetration job executed in Namibia. The team uses a lightweight and economical CPT penetrometer set generating a pushing force of 200 kN. The reaction force is obtained from 4 ground anchors placed by means of a hydraulic wrench. The 200 kN pusher, driven by a diesel-hydraulic power-pack, pushes the latest generation P10-CFPTxy piezocone into the ground. This results in high-end CPTu test results fully compliant with ISO 22476-1. Thanks for the great picture, guys!!
